Let Go of My Ego?

I have studied literature in leadership and spirituality and have found a common thread. The common thread is this: if you want to be successful and fulfilled you need to keep your ego in check. The ego is that part of us that is always asking: "But what about me?" or saying "Look at me!" The lesson I've found in these fields of study and in my own life is that when we focus on our ego needs we can, at best, create a temporary success. Often our ego gets in the way, creating pain and suffering. If we want to build a good life, a good company, or a good relationship, we need to take the focus off our individual need to win, to be right, or to receive the glory.

"Success is not so much what we have as it is what we are." Jim Rohn Success means different things to different folks. Through personal development, I have come to understand success as the achievement of desired outcomes in all areas of life. In other words, having great relationships and no money to enjoy activities with family and friends is not success. Being spiritual but being sick and broke is not success. Having money and abundant material goods, yet not getting along with others is not success. Success is a complete package, which includes: - being in joy, while pursuing what one loves to do, which renders service to others. - being in good physical health; feeling vibrant and alive. - having the financial resources to be able to experience the choices in life, one desires.

I am the source of my abundance. I focus on what I love and thus draw it to me. My thoughts are loving and positive. My choices and possibilities are expanding every day. I love and trust my imagination. I am an unlimited being. I can create anything I want. I live in an abundant universe. I always have everything I need. I radiate self-esteem, inner peace, love, well-being, and happiness. I create money and abundance through joy, aliveness, and self-love.

The Crusades Of Writing

This article does not discuss what to write or how to write, but merely a favorite – why to write. The world appears in its dissatisfactions. Potential lies in the prospect that desires to change it, and prosperity lies in the chaotic chase that has already begun. Writing is barely a provision of the many to choose from.

Beat the Block with a Journal

It’s nearing the end of summer, and I have no credentials to my benefit these holidays. As the end of the holidays approach, I keep wondering what I have to show for the summer other than the noticeable tan, and the load of incomplete articles adorning my computer. Having nothing to write about can be exasperating. But having plentiful to do, and not doing it out of sheer laziness or lack of interest is a whole other story. I have articles months old that haven’t seen the light of day.
